Following an extensive R&D project by the Ministry of Works and NASS Group & Corporation in Bahrain, Nass Asphalt recently began surfacing areas of the new Busaiteen Development containing our newly approved MR6 polymer.
By adding 7% of this dry-mix polymer to a BAPCO 60/70 bitumen at the point of production, Nass Asphalt were able to meet the required PG76E specification requirements set by the MED for their BRM14 mix.
Opting for MacRebur Limited's MR6 polymer allows Nass Asphalt to maintain high quality asphalt mixtures while reducing CO2 emissions in their production processes.
Many thanks to Craig Long and his team for overseeing this approval and to everyone at the Ministry of Works for their dedication to reaching this sustainability milestone.
